Service Guidelines

Residential Waste Collection 

  • Waste to be out by 6:00 a.m.
  • All waste to be placed in Cart
  • We will not collect any appliance that has the capability of containing Chlorofluorocarbons (CFC’s) unless it is red tagged as being evacuated of all CFC’s and signed by a technician and invoice verifying the service was provided.
  • No materials other than Household Waste will be picked up as part of any Residential Waste Collection Route.
  • Under no circumstances will hazardous waste be picked up as part of any Residential Waste Collection Route except small quantities exempted from regulation known as “household hazardous waste.”
  • The following items while not all exclusive, shall not be picked up as part of any Residential Waste Collection Route; batteries, tires, motor oil, television sets, microwave ovens, computer cpu’s or monitors, live ammunition or explosives, bricks, concrete, hazardous/toxic chemicals or materials, bulk human fecal waste, bulk dead animals, and no yard waste of any kind. WCA reserves the right to expand and/or modify this list at any time.
  • We do not provide back door service.
  • We do provide handicapped service. Please provide statement from your physician stating you are physically unable to move your waste container to the curb to receive this service.

Residential Recycling Service

  • No glass what so ever
  • Time is 6:00 a.m.
  • Aluminum Cans: Cans shall be rinsed to avoid health and nuisance problem, cans may be set out separately from other recyclables.
  • Newsprint: Clean, unsoiled newsprint-type paper containing minimal glossy magazine-type paper shall be bundled and/or tied in separate containers. NO MAGAZINES SHALL BE ACCEPTED.
  • Plastics: PET and HDPE containers should be rinsed and caps removed.
  • Tin-Can: Steel food containers should be rinsed prior to placement in the recycling bin.
  • Cardboard: All kinds of clean cardboard

Residential Yard Waste Collection

  • Waste to be out by 6:00 a.m.
  • Do not place under power lines, tree limbs, or other overhead obstacles or you will have to move the material before it can be picked up.
  • WCA will not drive onto anyone’s property to remove material it must be brought to the curb.
  • All leaves and pine straw must bagged or boxed and shall not exceed 35 pounds in weight.
  • Branches up to 2 inches in diameter shall be cut in lengths not exceeding six (6) feet and shall be stacked at the curb.
  • Tree trunks shall not exceed fifty (50) pounds for any one piece or be more than four (4) feet in length.
  • WCA will not pick up yard waste of any type that has been placed by a hired individual, contractor, or professional tree trimming service.

Residential Bulk Waste Collection

  • Waste is to be out by 6:00 a.m.
  • Do not place under power lines, tree limbs, or other overhead obstacles or you will have to move the material before it can be picked up.
  • WCA will not drive onto anyone’s property to remove material it must be brought to the curb.
  • Items for collection shall be placed at the curb for pick up.
  • The following items while not all exclusive, shall not be picked up as part of any Residential Waste Collection Route; batteries, tires, motor oil, television sets, microwave ovens, computer cpu’s or monitors, live ammunition or explosives, bricks, concrete, hazardous/toxic chemicals or materials, bulk human fecal waste, bulk dead animals, and no yard waste of any kind. WCA reserves the right to expand and/or modify this list at any time.
