Community Outreach

MD Anderson & Breast Cancer Research

WCA has partnered with MD Anderson to build awareness and provide funding for breast cancer research. We have made a strong effort to build a team culture, while bringing more attention to such an important cause. Starting in 2013, we raised money through our annual charity golf tournament and “Pink Shirt Friday” campaign. In 2014, WCA nearly doubled the amount of its contributions to the organization. To date, WCA has successfully raised over $80,000 for MD Anderson. We will continue to be successful at raising awareness and funding for MD Anderson.

American Cancer Society’s 5K

Every year WCA joins with the City of Gainesville and its residents to line the streets. People come out of their homes to wave and cheer us on as participants go by and the local high schools’ cheerleaders cheer WCA on throughout the course. The cancer survivors lead the walk to bring awareness to breast cancer and generate funding for the Cancer Society.

Educational Outreach

WCA has a strong commitment to maintaining and cultivating sustainable business practices as well as ensuring environmental awareness and preservation in the markets we service, and we understand that educating the community is where it all begins. We primarily use modern, electronic forms of communication for that education.

With over a half a million customers, our number one goal is to make every one of our customers happy, while keeping the community environmentally healthy and safe. We will continue to set sustainable goals that will encourage behavioral change within the WCA organization and local communities.
